Snooze browser tabs on Mozilla Firefox using ‘Snooze Tabby’ add-on – #Startups

browser addonUsing personal computers for Web-based assignments may require individuals to make the best use of their time. This is because both welcome & unwelcome distractions are likely to pop up at any time.

Say a person is working on an important article but comes across another interesting article on a Website? Does he/she postpone what he/she’s doing in order to read the article? Or do they bookmark the page for later read? Most people have so many bookmarks on their browsers that they never get to visit them at all. They forget about them as soon as they close a tab. This brings us to the subject of snoozing.

A lot of people are familiar with the term snoozing. After all, it’s what most people do when they just need that extra 5, 10 minutes of sleep. Wouldn’t it be useful if a person could use the same concept on a Web page? ‘Snooze Tabby’ does just that.

Snooze Tabby is a free Mozilla Firefox add-on that helps people snooze Web pages. As & when a person finds an interesting Web page, he/she can snooze it to be read later.

Take the example of a person working on an article that should take about 2 hours & they just stumbled across an interesting Website. He can snooze the page at the two-hour mark & just when he’s about to finish his current work, the snoozed tab will pop back up.

Of course, there are some default snooze time settings going up to the 1 month mark but there are also some custom snooze settings for less conventional time frames. Individuals can also check the snooze list & remove items that they have already gone through.

The developer for the add-on goes by Snooze Tabby on his Mozilla profile.
