‘Slite’ lets your team create & access notes quickly – #Startups

If you’re in a team that’s developing a new idea or product & need to access your team’s documents as they’re being generated & modified then you should consider Slite. This note taking app is designed from the get go for teams & promises to revolutionize a team’s ability to collaborate on content & in retrieving information.

Note taking is something we all do, be it on paper or on your PC or phone. Notes let you create shopping lists, to-do lists, meeting minutes & product ideas, resulting in your most bounteous source of information. If notes are shared within a team, this information & knowledge can be enriching.

With Slite all of the written Content generated by your team “becomes tangible & shareable versions of their knowledge.” Slite’s clean, simple format encourages team members to share with others, resulting in multiplying effect, resulting in “your team’s creating knowledge without even noticing it.”

Slite is a Paris, France-based startup effort led by Christophe Pasquier. He wants to make it the “Slack of notes,” & sees Slite in the same mold as what Slack has done as the chat for teams. He wants to make note taking & writing down information a reflexive action for team members.

Here are Slite’s main features, according to the product page:

  • Create – using the minimalist editor, with text formatting like headings, checklists, bold, italics, hyperlinks, embedded documents & images
  • Organize – easy accessibility to your team’s content via powerful search features, collaboration channels & prioritization features like pinning notes at top
  • Collaborate – helps sync your team’s access, edit suggestions, ask questions & work collectively, mentions of teammates in notes, pings & shares to Slack & real-time mentions & alerts

Until 2018 Slite is free. Pricing afterwards is slated to be free for teams up to 5 users. There’ll be a low flat price (to be determined) for trams of up to 10 users & US $8/user for more than 10 users.
