‘SiteBy’ gives credit to Website builders for their work – #Startup

This Online resource allows all team members involved in building a Website to get credit for their role. Industry pros, recruiters & prospective clients can use ‘SiteBy’ as if it were an “IMDb” of Websites & discover the actual people involved in creating a Site.

When we see a beautifully designed Website, we always wonder who built it. Usually, a bunch of talented individuals are behind the various roles that toil behind the scenes, & not just a company or digital agency, which usually takes all the credit.

Professional Sites, focused on designers or programmers, are available for displaying portfolios or code, but nothing is out there to give credit to team members. SiteBy beautifully showcases websites as well as the contribution of each team member.

It’s not often that a client will let you promote yourself by publishing credits on the site you’ve developed for them. The people at SiteBy, led by co-founders Robb Bennett, Lee Lance & Scott Cook, are aware of this & decided to provide this resource that can be used for blatant self promotion, but also so that that people can find out who worked on the site if their curiosity is piqued.

SiteBy is an early round startup & the site itself is in Beta. It’s mainly US-based (Robb and Lee reside in North Carolina) & the service is available free of charge for a basic membership. This includes allowing you to build a basic member profile, addin site credits for Sites to which you have FTP access & get featured on the SiteBy Home Page.

For US$ 2/month you can get a “Pro” membership & also be able to add site credits even if you don’t have FTP access, as well as display additional contact information & social links. A “Pro+” plan is in the works & will be available soon, which will also let you directly hire designers, developers, writers & project managers.
