Sharing video, audio & images made easier with ‘Wave X’ – New app

social media

This next startup is an interesting 1 as it is going toe to toe with some of the current giant messaging platforms.

‘Wave X’ is a phone app that allows you to share emotions with your friends. You might be wondering how different this is in comparison to existing apps such as Snap, Instagram or even Messenger. Well, whereas with these apps it requires 4 or even 5 steps in order to share with your friends with Wave X you get to send photos, videos as well as audio with just a single gesture.

How to use Wave X

To send a picture to one of your friends you just need to tap on your friend’s ‘circle’ at the bottom of your screen. On the other hand, if you want to send a video, Wave X requires you to tap & hold on your friend’s circle & record the video. On release, this video is automatically shared with your friend. For the audio option, just double tap & hold your friend’s circle to record the audio file & once you are done release to send.

This means for you to share a video with multiple people you will need to repeat the above process multiple times. This can be a bit tiresome. However, the developers claim that in their next update they will work on a feature that will allow the user to send a video to multiple friends at the same time. In addition to its simplicity, Wave X doesn’t have any chat as well as history. Currently, its developers claim to be working on adding features such as Mood, Event & Reactions to the app.

Wave X is available for both iOS & Android users. The app is free for both platforms. Its latest iOS version AppStore update was on May 22, 2017. It is available in both English & Russian.

Wave X is developed by Wave Inc. whose founders are Dmitry Kochergin, also the CEO &  Manny who is the Creative Director. The startup’s headquarters are in Moscow, Russia.
