‘Evie’ is a mobile search interface that helps you use your phone in a faster way by simplifying its user experience. It puts everything in your phone in 1 spot, hence saving you the burden of searching inside every app. It simply creates for you 1 instant search for everything you need. Be it restaurants, stores, streaming movies, shows, music or even your phone settings.
The user interface provides you with a direct path to what you want, when & where you want it. With so many apps available today having overlapping services, inventory & Content, Evie allows you to specify what you need & then helps the phone to do the rest.
Not a fan of a cluttered home screen? You could simplify your home-screen by eliminating the need for pages of apps & folders alike on your home screen using Evie. You can make it personal by creating shortcuts for anything e.g. bookmark a restaurant where you plan to have dinner or call a friend.
Evie will help you navigate your phone by focusing on a structured search. By doing this, it allows you to be more direct in getting what you need rather than having to think about finding the right app for what you need. Imagine ordering delivery or streaming a movie without even having installed an app built for one of the delivery services.
The creators claim that Evie is developed on an extensive action graph with more than 50 million entities, therefore, allowing you to pull up action oriented info cards on entities like restaurants, apps or categories such as movies, shows & music. The app will also provide you with details such as user ratings for various services, delivery fees & movie theater schedules to help you make informed choices quickly.
Evie was created by the same developers as Voxel, which was launched in 2013. Its co-founder is David Zhao. The app was launched on Play store in June 2016.
It is only available for Android devices & requires the device to have Android 4.4 & up.
