‘SaveMyTime’ is Android time tracker app that helps increase personal productivity

activity tracker

Each day many of us use separate apps to track activities like running, counting steps, etc., & many folks even use manual trackers.  Now you can install this smartphone app, which throws up a picture of the time distribution throughout the day regarding your personal activities such as time spent on fitness, sleep, & so on.

SaveMyTime takes advantage of a habit we are all guilty of sharing, & that is constantly taking a look at our smart phones & unlocking them. SaveMyTime estimates that we do this more than 120 times a day, which is really doing something with the phone every 8 minutes. The app replaces the stock Android lock screen with the question -What have you been doing since you last checked your phone? This is followed by a few options, like ‘Office work’, ‘Movies’, ‘Sleep, ‘Running, etc.

The app lets you customize the names of your activities & set productivity levels for each activity. If you want to, you can also turn tracking off when you don’t need it. Once you’ve let the app gather data on your activities, you get rewarded with customized insights regarding them. The app does this by analyzing all the data & then giving you detailed information about how you spend your time. It checks on your work-life balance index in the short & long term, & you can learn the amount of time you spend on work & how much you sleep.

The default time for checking on your activity is 8 minutes, but you can vary the interval for lockscreen replacement with SaveMyTime for any time interval you think appropriate.

SaveMyTime has been developed by a Poland-based startup of the same name, which is led by Adam Janczewski & Pawel Majda. The founders have plans to extend the app to the iOS platform soon.
