Follow private conversations on interesting topics with ‘rushline’

rushline

If you’ve ever wanted to join a vibrant Online community where you could share experiences & ask for help or guidance on topics that interest you but have held back because of concerns about privacy & trolling, then you might want to give ‘rushline’ a try.

Rushline was initially put together based on the insights that people prefer to go straight to friends for advice, rather than strangers on a community or message board. This makes people confortable since these kinds of conversations are private & friends can be trusted, avoiding reputation risks, trolls & zealots. Likewise, when friends ask us for help, we usually help out.

It’s a new sort of messaging platform that purports to bring friends together around text conversations & collaboration around shared interests, but with a twist. If you’re conversing with someone you know, both of you are identified, but all personally identifiable info is stripped out, & the conversation is made available to the public at large.

Rushline then tries to match conversations to relevant people who may have some kinds of insights or be able to answer questions on the topics being discussed.

According to the Scottsdale, Arizona, USA-based startup’s founder & CEO, Dan Morrison:

…we do something really cool, something we’ve received multiple patents on. We remove personally identifiable information from these conversations & make them available to the public, matching relevant people to them who can help.

There’s an awesome implication of this. You can now be a fly on the wall, following private conversations among trusted friends as they talk freely about #topics you’re interested in, & you can join in when you have something helpful to add.

You can access rushline via the Web by signing up on its Site or through an iPhone app here. An Android app will be available soon as well. Access is currently free to use but a premium version is slated to be available in the future based on an as yet to be decided subscription plan.
