Rally claims to be a “revolutionary social nightwork” that launched on May 21 this year. The focus of this new platform is to create a unique nightlife themed environment where close friends plan, share, & “relive their nights”. This 1 is basically for the night owls amongst you out there.
The 1st step to a night out using Rally is to set a color coded status to show friends your “availability” tonight. No text messages. Color green means “available”, yellow means “not sure” & red means “unavailable”. These simple colors are aided with up to three hashtags to provide insight into what the user wants to do.
To help make planning your night even simpler, Rally lets users create nightly groups called “Nests” with friends that they know are actually available in the night. This saves the hassle of having to text large existing groups as well as message many friends just to figure out who wants to hang out. While enjoying the night out, users may share photos only after 6 pm to ensure a night centric environment. In an effort to provide users with a way of retracing their footsteps, Rally generates a path of everywhere the user went the previous night on an interactive map to give context to exactly what happened last night. Thus, the Boston, US-based Rally takes the guessing game out of who is available & provides the only platform friends need to make the most of the night.
According to a statement, prior to the launch of Rally, co-founders Alex Ratner & Tyler Costantino developed the concept on nights & weekends before leaving their positions at S&P and PwC to pursue Rally full time. Their gamble paid off & they were selected to launch Rally’s private beta on stage at the ‘Launch Festival’ in San Francisco to a crowd of over 10,000 investors & innovators.
“We both sat down & decided that if there was a time to pursue our dream it was now. Freshly out of college, with minimal responsibilities, we would likely never have this opportunity again,” explained Tyler.
Alex added, “This is going to change the way people go out. Its such a fragmented time of day with friends using multiple apps to accomplish seemingly simple tasks like finding out who is available tonight. Rally is the simple solution to the complex problem that is figuring out your night.”
It’s time for a new breed of social network. Rally is the first Social Nightwork dedicated entirely to nightlife and is the best way to plan, share, and relive each night.
