Q2 results: Facebook’s doing well, but expect growth to slow down

Social network Facebook’s just declared its 2nd quarter earnings. While the financials lived up to Wall Street’s expectations, we are not getting into that. Instead, here are some factoids for the benefit of our readers:
  • FB reported growth across mobile ad revenue as well as mobile users
  • Mobile ad revenue now accounts for 76% of all Facebook’s ad revenue, up from 73% last quarter
  • More than 1.31 billion people visit Facebook each month from a mobile device, 23% more than the same time last year
  • The social network now has 1.49 billion total users
  • It also increased its number of daily active users to 968 million, with 164 million coming from the US & neighboring Canada. That’s an increase of 32 million total, & 3 million in its most saturated market

Facebook just released its Q2 earnings report, beating analyst expectations on both the top and bottom line.
It also increased its number of daily active users to 968 million, with 164 million coming from the United States and Canada.
