Periscope crossed 1 million users in 1st 10 days

In the on-going war between 2 “live” video streaming apps Periscope & Meerkat, Twitter fired a fresh salvo today by claiming its app Periscope had already got 1 million users signed in the 1st 10 days of its launch. This, according to Twitter, was only a small percentage of the 300 million active users Twitter announced in its earnings call today, although it does point to the quickly growing interest users have in these kinds of apps. So is Periscope really stealing a march over Meerkat? Let’s wait for the return salvo from the latter.
