Nextpeer mobile gaming SDK allows game developers to add social layer

Israeli company Nextpeer has a mobile gaming SDK that allows game developers to add a social layer to their game without any hassle or intrusion.

Nextpeer’s platform was originally built to provide multilayer functionality to single-player mobile games. That it does beautifully, allowing cross-platform connectivity in a seamless manner. If you make use of their platform, it won’t matter what kind of mobile device your game players are using since they can play against each other regardless. This saves game developers a lot of hassle trying to create a multi-player mobile gaming platform that connects users across Android, iOS, Windows Phone & other mobile devices. It allows both async & sync multiplayer gaming, which means you can play the game together with others at the same time, or take turns at it & keep score on leaderboards.

This multi-player functionality has now been expanded to include an added social layer. This social layer allows you to invite friends for multiplayer gaming, & you can also see what game your friends are playing. You can invite your friends & followers from all the major social networks & messaging apps, including Facebook, Twitter, Whatsapp & WeChat.

Game snapshots & highlights are displayed on the stream feed, & the included direct download link can instantly bring more downloads & players.

These features in a game, along with others like in-game player-to-player messaging, implemented with zero work on the part of a game developer, will make your game go viral if even a few players start playing & sharing their snapshots with friends.

New gaming titles struggling for some attention on the App Store & Google Play can easily break out of the pack & get a dedicated base of gamers addicted quickly using some social media buzz & promotions. The best part is that it does all this with intruding on the gameplay. Your gamers will always be in the game, & the Nextpeer functionally smoothly blends into the look & feel of your game.

The basic ad-supported plan is free, & allows unlimited monthly active users in your game. A Studio Plan with support for up to 100,000 MAUs is ad-free, allows you to customize the integration, & costs US $199/month. Enterprise developers with bigger needs can contact the company for a custom plan.

Tel Aviv, Israel-based Nextpeer was founded in Aug 2011 by Itamar Mula, Daniel Shir & Shai Magzimof. Shai is the company’s CEO, Daniel is the CTO & Itamar is VP R&D. The company has raised US $2.9 million in seed funding.
