New graphics app released for Android & iOS – New app

Online whiteboardPresentation Whiteboard, a new graphics app developed by Japanese developer Akashi Hamada for Android & iOS, has been released on Google Play & iTunes. The graphics app turns your smartphone or Tablet into a virtual whiteboard where you can write in freehand, draw diagrams, use a camera to take photos, & search for images on Google.

Presentation Whiteboard claims its USP is the way it’s designed to allow users to create visual explanations easier, unlike other similar graphics image editors that are full of complicated functions.

The whiteboard screen can be intuitively manipulated & includes many tools that appear as easily recognizable icons. The interface is clean, with only icons for the basic functions appearing at the whiteboard tray while the rest of the functions are kept in a drawer.

With this app, communicating thoughts, said the company, by creating image-rich presentations from scratch was simple & fast. Icon tools could be accessed in 1 tap. The board can then be saved as an image file & sent by email.

“I came up with the Presentation Whiteboard when I was stuck working on an upgrade of my real time communication app, the Communication Whiteboard Cloud. Just adding more functions didn’t work, and I felt that I had to go back to the drawing board.” says Hamada.

“My idea was to make all the functions available as simple icons. And rather than transmission functions, which incur server costs, I focused on adding more tools specifically for making presentations easy—explaining visually through images. “Aside from the initial transmission capabilities and webcam integration, I plan on adding more functions to easily create visual explanations, such as hierarchical structures.
