New York, New York (PRWEB)July 13, 2015: Scopers from all over world will come together in New York City for an event that is sure to take live streaming to a new level. New York Scope Week, hosted by Periscope Community Summit, is the first ever user-generated conference for and by Periscope users. In its inaugural year, the summit expects nearly 400 scopers and over 500,000 live stream viewers to tune in. This event is organized by the community, not Twitter or Periscope.
New York Scope Week will not only foster educational growth in social media and live streaming, it will also provide a unique experience for networking with those around the globe. Cathy Hackl, director of Periscope Community Summit, stated, “It has been a long time since I have seen this much excitement surrounding a new social media platform. We are honored to pull together this event that was the brain child of members within the Periscope community.”
“The idea for Periscope Community Summit happened while scoping. People got excited and together we started making it happen,” said founder Ryan A. Bell. “We’re beside ourselves at how much has been accomplished in such a short time, with the blessing of Periscope and with the talent of the community.”
Summit attendees can expect to experience a variety of panels, workshops, and breakout sessions that will take place at The New World Stage. Keynote speakers will be announced in the coming weeks. Along with a full schedule of educational opportunities, one will also be able to enjoy several parties that will also take place around the city during the week.
