‘Mimo’ helps you learn coding on mobile – New app

mimo

‘Mimo’ is an app that lets you learn how to code on mobile by providing you with a platform for gamified & interactive lessons on computer science. This app’s helps you use your idle time. Be it while you are commuting or waiting for someone.

The app lets you get the hang of app development, database & programming languages. Mimo provides you with lessons that take you very little time to complete, usually about a minute.

In addition, to give your learning experience an interactive touch, they have included exercises, quizzes, social challenges, & trial & error lessons. Mimo’s lessons rely on constant interaction rather than audio/video Content which would not be suitable in certain “distractive” environments.

Well, what happens when your idle time is over? Mimo has included trackers which let you seamlessly pick up where you left in your next session on the app. The trackers follow your progress & synchronize across all platforms you use.

Mimo has also incorporated its sister apps, Swifty & Javvy in its lessons. Swifty is an app that helps you learn how to code in Swift & enables you to make iOS apps. In addition, the Javvy tool lets you learn how to code in Java.

The micro courses that you get to have a grasp on with Mimo are subdivided into those for beginners & intermediate. Under the beginners, some of the things you get to learn include;C#, JavaScript, HTML, Python, Swift (programming language by Apple for iOS development), SQL, & Ruby.

For the intermediate, the lessons will involve learning C++ which provides an introduction to the syntax & principles of C++.

Mimo is currently only available for iOS users. It was released in August 2016.

This startup is located in Vienna, Austria & is owned by Johamner Berge, Founder & CEO, Henry Ameseder, a co-founder & COO, & Lorenz Schimik also a co-founder & Chief Product officer.
