‘justPublish’ helps writers set deadlines & escape draft folder – #Startup

Whether you’re writing Content for a Facebook page or a blog, there’s always an excuse for not keeping to a deadline. With justPublish you just set your own deadlines that auto-publish to social media, & which pretty much forces you to keep the deadlines by “pressuring” you.

To get started with this new app, just sign up in the product page by choosing what it is you want to do – launch a side project, write for my blog/Medium, start a startup, or “do something way cooler”.

Then click on set a deadline & you’re asked for an email address where your deadline should be sent. The next step is to set a password so that you establish an account. Finally, you’re asked to connect to your social accounts (Twitter, Facebook or LinkedIn) using Buffer.

Entrepreneur Brent Summers is the founder at Code-Free, the San Francisco, California, USA-based startup that is behind justPublish. In a recent post, he says that he built the app to solve a problem he was having: he had too many draft blogs sitting in Medium & WP.

Brent goes on to state that the app is meant to “let anyone create their own meaningful deadlines”. After you’ve connected the deadline to your social accounts, adding the title & setting the deadline for your project, you’re all set. When the deadline strikes, the project link you’ve provided gets shared to your Twitter, LinkedIn or Facebook account

The “magic” comes in the form of the accountability in the threat of risking social embarrassment if you don’t keep to your deadlines, turning you into a prolific writer.

The app is free, but you’ll need to sign up for Buffer to actually use it by connecting social media profiles. Buffer offers plans for sharing on social media & is focused on social media management for marketers & agencies.
