Photo sharing service Instagram has updated its app & added 3 filters.
According to a post on its official blog, Instagram introduced ‘Lark’, ‘Reyes’ & ‘Juno’ as “a family of modern, subtle filters that brighten & enhance photos in refined, beautiful ways.”
It said Lark desaturates reds while punching up blues & greens to bring your landscapes to life. Reyes, on the other hand, brings a dusty, vintage look, while Juno tints cool tones green while making warm tones pop & whites glow for vibrant photos of people.
Additionally, in what it dubbed as a “bonus update”, Instagram said it was introducing emoji in hashtags. Over the past few years, emojis had become part of a universal visual language. “And just as we share photos and videos, we use emoji to communicate emotions and feelings in ways that anyone can understand, regardless of language or background.”
With emoji hashtags, Instagram users can discover even more by adding them to their own photos & videos, searching them on the Explore page & tapping on them when used in in captions.
