I know what you did ‘On This Day’ – Facebook introduces user-nostalgia feature

Nostalgia, anyone? Social network Facebook (FB) has decided to dish out some “mushy” stuff of their users’ own making to, well, FB users. It’s introduced a feature called, ‘On This Day’, which it has described as “a new way to look back at things you have shared” (in the past).

The new feature was announced by FB on its official blog.

To begin with, only the user can see his/her own ‘On This Day’ page. The latter shows Content from any date in the past. For example, you might see past status updates, photos, posts from friends & other things you’ve shared or been tagged in – from one year ago, two years ago, and so on. Only you will see this Content unless you decide to share it with your friends.

To see your ‘On This Day’ page, users may click on the ‘On This Day’ bookmark, search for “On This Day,” or visit facebook.com/onthisday. You might also see a story in your News Feed.

Once on the page, users can choose to subscribe to notifications so that they will be alerted when they have memories to look back on. Users can also edit & delete old posts, or decide to share memories with friends.
