Here’s how to have 30-sec chats with people you know – New app

[sg_popup id=”12″ event=”onload”][/sg_popup]The advent of social media brought about less & less interpersonal interactions. People these days are comfortable living far apart from their friends & family. They also don’t feel the need to make regular trips to see others just because they are able to talk to them wherever they are. The most regular modes of communication for such people include social media posts & voice calls. These, however, can prove somewhat inadequate as a communication medium. ‘Thirty’ is a new smartphone app looking to get into the social media market while offering something altogether unique and different from other platforms.

Traditionally, a social media post whether it’s a tweet, a Facebook post or a story, is seen by a host of random people. As such it can be quite difficult to send over personalized messages to individuals. Thirty is looking to change the game completely by letting people have short one on one conversations. This is also meant to give people more authentic interactions with one another.

Practically everyone has had one of those awkward moments where a phone call with someone happens to go for a bit longer than expected. With this phone app, people no longer have to worry about that. Once a person has tapped on a friends contact & the call is accepted they both have a maximum of 30 seconds to say what they need to say before their conversation is cut off.

The interface is also quite simple to use and includes a friends page and an address book page. Using the address book page one can invite more and more people onto the platform and grow their community.

Thirty is found for free on the Apple app store making it exclusively available to iPhone users. The app runs on any version of iOS that is 10.0 or later. Also, it is currently only available in the English language though it is unclear as to whether the developer intends to add other languages to the interface in future.

The app was made by iOS developer Alan Scarpa who is a regular contributor to the app store. He is also responsible for the creation of the following iOS apps:

  • Good News.
  • Real sound pranks & effects.
  • A real crystal ball.
  • Tasty memes.
  • Animated holiday stickers for Christmas and Hannukah.

Thirty was officially launched in 2018 & is based in Panama City, Panama.
