Monitoring your brand, professional or even personal, Online including on the social networks is increasingly getting to be a chore, what with their numbers climbing almost every day. For example, new social networks get added, some of the old fade away, & even the most task-hardened community manager or team finds the going difficult. Thus, Online notification is every social media manager’s dream.
There’s now a startup called Notify that claims to make this job easier for you. Notify will let you know the minute your startup, company, brand, name, competitor, whatever, is mentioned in almost any of the Online publishing platforms, well-known blogs, news Sites, & of course on the social networks. From Facebook, Instagram, Tumblr to Hacker News, it covers a wide range of Online platforms. So whatever be your business, you can find news articles, blogs & tweets about your startup & build relationships with authors. Notify can be used in a number of ways – most of all to stay on top of developments in your respective field of work.
Setting up in this new app, we found, was relatively easy. It took less than a minute, but 1 caution – to make Notify work, you need to open up an account with team communication platform Slack 1st. The rest is easy – you need to choose the words or hastags you wanna follow, give permission to the accounts you want to link up with your Ntify account such as Twitter or Reddit, & you are good to go. Slack has a free plan, so no sweat there.
So whatever notification you have chosen to receive – your company name, news, etc, will pop up on your desktop (there’s that option,too within Slack), thus alerting you.
Using Notify is free. The new app can be used to derive a lot of value – driving new traffic, getting new customers or simply staying ahead of your competition by monitoring what people think of them.
