‘Frames’ for Sketch turbocharges your Web design workflow – #Startup

If you’re a Web designer & use the Sketch design system for Mac, then you already use 1 of the best available designs & prototyping environments. With the Frames toolkit you can enhance your Sketch environment & greatly increase productivity with 100+ ready to use layouts that will kickstart your projects & you can get started in just seconds.

Frames was put together by designers, with designers in mind. It lets you implement the latest, most advanced Sketch features, best practices & helpful techniques in a single UI library. It’s meant to be used by teams, is lightweight & adaptable, so teams find it easy to build their own libraries based on Frames.

To get started using Frames with Sketch you need to 1st install Google Roboto & Multi fonts, then go on over to the Get Started page where you adjust colors, fonts & styles to match your brand’s design style. The Style guide section serves to pick out for your project, a color scheme, component sheet, typeface style, icons & mockups.

Next, the Web UI Kit section contains a collection of pre-designed already built system components which can be used for quick prototyping & can be freely customized. Finally, the Symbols section groups symbols by category and sorts them by type, like: colors, inputs, buttons…

After you’re done customizing you can save your current font styles as a template so you can quickly import them using the Share Style Plugin. The toolkit comes with responsive customizable components that use symbols, like colors, buttons, forms, text…

Symbols can be nested inside other symbols, representing attributes of visual style, which you can quickly adjust using the overrides menu (for Color, Shape, State or Device.)

With Mockups you can represent visual content such as photos, background & device screen, & they can be changed with the Device attribute. Screen options can add overlays to obscure your image with gradients or using the Fill attribute you can add a tint to increase text readability above images.

Mockups are included in Frames for iPhone7, Macbook & iPad & are made using Facebook design free resources. Your own mockups can be added easily as PNG layers to a symbol.

Frames by Robowolf is based in Russia & is led by UX/UI designer Bunin Dmitry.
