Forget back of the envelope, you can jot down your ideas on ‘Napkin’

napkinHow many times have you used whatever piece of paper you’ve got at hand to hurriedly jot down some piece of inspiration that hits you, lest you forget it? But now, there’s a smartphone app aptly named ‘Napkin’ which allows you to jot down your notes.

Napkin comes with a lot more functionality than the physical counterpart. It’s aimed at the key stakeholders involved in an idea development, letting them take notes on ideas & sharing them among team members. It helps you organize your thoughts & ideas, & to validate them before you decide to go to market.  Everything gets synced across your team’s devices automatically.

Some of the key features of the app are:

  • Use the app’s lists to easily create & organize unlimited ideas
  • In a step by step fashion you can vet your idea’s essential business elements
  • You can attach photos & text to your ideas
  • The app provides helpful tips along the way
  • The iCloud Sync automates backups
  • You can email a breakdown of your idea to team members & other stakeholders

CrunchTap, the startup behind the Napkin app, was founded in 2014 by entrepreneur David Price. It’s based in Santa Monica, California, USA, & its stated goal is to “builds simple, clean, and intuitive mobile apps. Made with passion”. The company also is also known for PaleoPal, an app to help you find paleo foods & add them to a shopping list.
