‘Velapp’ is an app designed to help users edit films while shooting them. This is intended to provide the shortest time possible for editing of films. The app makes great use of 3D Touch, Slider among other features.
3D Touch is a new feature on most of the newly launched iPhone smartphones. The technology enables users to determine the quality & time frame for editing of films while taking them. How this works is that as you intuitively press harder on your screen while shooting exciting action, you are in essence choosing parts of the film that should be edited.
The 3D technology is brand new, & some users might not find it as friendly. It is for this reason that Velapp utilizes another backwards-compatible technology. In this technology, you can use a slider. Since 3D technology has been receiving some negative publicity, the developers of Velapp designed the app in a way that you can also make use of a slider. The slider works in such a way that while rating your film, you simply got to slide the slider up & down.
With the Velapp, you will have fairly less work on your hands regarding trimming the videos. The has an auto-cut feature. This feature enables the app to cut the films once you are done rating the best parts you would like to edit.
The downsides to this app are that you do not have an option to include more action into the film after initially selecting the parts you would like to edit. This limits you in a way. There is also the concept of having to pay some fee of sorts if you would like to export any watermark-free film with a running time of more than one minute. After editing your videos, you can share them on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, & WhatsApp.
Unfortunately for Android users, this app is only available to people running on iOS. Velapp is free & compatible with iPod Touch, iPhone, & iPad. Also, your device must have iOS 10.0 or higher to run this app. This app was launched in App Store on February 21, 2017.
