Every business & everybody needs a Website these days, it would seem. This makes it easier for individuals & interested parties to get information about a particular person, product or company. In addition to having the relevant information Sites need to capture the attention of visitors. This means that the Content within should be interesting. Graphics & animation may help with that as well as add a fun element of being on a particular Webpage.
Step-by-Step animation is a tool that is used to input some animation features on a Webpage. To add some context step-by-step animation is part of a bigger Web publishing platform by the name Tilda Publishing. It allows people to build & publish Websites using pre-designed blocks & hence users do not need to know how to code in order to effectively use it.
They also have a Website editor named ‘Zero block.’ This can be used to edit any element of a particular Web page & is intended for use by professional designers. Step-by-step has been released as part of Zero block.
The process of creating animations is, however, very simple & can be described as follows:
Users will need to open up ‘step-by-step’ in Zero block. Then they will need to select a particular element & add it to the app’s Zero block artboard. After that, they will need to select a trigger for the animation. The various options available here are, “on click,” “when pointing at the particular element,” “when the element appears” & lastly “on scroll.” If the choice made is, “On scroll” for example then that particular animation will activate each time a Site visitor scrolls over it.
The next step is to add steps to the animation. Users can add as many as they like within reason. They will then need to define each step as well as its properties. Some of the editable features include the speed of movement, transparency, size of the element & the position of the element. The properties for each step that may need to be defined include the following:
- Distance
- Rotate
- Opacity
- Scale
- Delay
- Move
Using this feature animations can be looped & put on scroll display. A designer can use this to tell a compelling story to visitors by putting different elements together. Both Tilda & the Step-by-Step animation tools are free to use.
