China’s Red Envelope Web war

In China, a “red envelope war” has broken out Online. With the Chinese New Year here, mobile companies are vying with each other to get a pie of the Online gift market. For instance, Alipay, the e-payment service backed by Alibaba Group Holding Ltd, on Sunday launched a service to help companies give gift envelops on WeChat. This is seen as a counter to Tencent.
