Some cheer for Pinterest users with disabilities – News

Social network Pinterest, in its latest updates across its apps & Website has added features for users with disabilities.

It said on its Site that all new UI components of Pinterest were now more “inclusive” for Pinners who were blind & visually impaired

Our mission is to help you discover and do what you love, and we want everyone to be included in that mission. That’s why we partnered with Lighthouse for the Blind and Visually Impaired to better understand how we could make Pinterest more useful for people with different levels of vision.

Some of these include:

  • Better screen reader support makes signing up, browsing & saving easier & more usable.
  • Color contrast sensitivity improvements makes color palettes more readable & easier on the eyes. This is especially helpful for Pinners with sensitivities to bright colors & those who have low vision.
