Having that data is also not enough. It needs to be tabulated & analyzed so as to give an accurate picture of the situation a company is in. This is where Business Intelligence (BI) comes in. While previous generations would have to analyze information manually the current one has applications that help people do that.
AskNed is an Artificial Intelligence (AI) app launched in 2018 that helps people get real time data analytics. All the person has to do is ask. It uses natural language processing (NLP) to understand questions asked of it so as to provide relevant data.
Once a question is typed on the app, it will instantly analyze and generate a simple to understand visual presentation of the information in response. For instance, if a CEO of a tyre company were to type in the question, “What are the total sales of tyres by month in the year 2017?” AskNed will generate a graph representation of the various sales numbers including the various months of the year, & the tyres sold in each month.
One can even go a step further in the manipulation of data. Take the above example where there is already a bar graph with the various months on it. If a person were to click on January perhaps, then he would be presented with another set of options. Examples include by country, by state, by region, etc. If they pick by country then they get a new graph about tire sales in January in various countries.
There are also various output methods so if a person wants to see a grid representation rather than a graph one they can choose to do that & the app will oblige. However, the company involved will need to connect the app to a data source before it can be functional. The app is compatible with various data sources inclusive of SQL, Google Analytics, MongoDB & many more. Furthermore, anyone can use the application regardless of whether or not they are tech savvy.
As a security measure, the app has security configurations where the admin can decide who gets access to what information depending on their position.
