‘BrowserHub’ lets you switch quickly between Web browsers on your Mac

new mac browser

For 1 reason or another, most people have more than just the default Safari browser installed on their Macs & use other browsers like Chrome or Firefox for specific Websites or Web apps. The ‘BrowserHub’ app lets you easily define rules to always open a particular browser to be used for this purpose.

As it is mentioned on the BrowserHub Website:

Maybe you like to use Safari as your default browser but want YouTube to always open in Chrome. Or maybe you want to always open links clicked within an app on a specific browser, you can do that too.

BrowserHub allows for fast default browser switching, with which you can quickly switch your default browser using a user-defined global shortcut.  If you come across a link & you want to choose which browser should open it, then just option-click to pop up a browser selection menu. Additionally, BrowserHub has the ability to create rules based on protocol, host, path, file extension or app.

BrowserHub was developed by Guilherme Rambo, who is based in Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, & is known for having authored the open source WWDC app for OS X, a staple of Apple ecosystem developers. It is available as a Utility in the Mac App Store for US $9.99 (special launch sale). Of course, it requires that you have at least 2 browsers installed on the system, OS X 10.10 or later, a 64-bit processor & takes up 5.2 MB.

You can also download a free trial here, or buy direct here.
