Brand new Oculus avatars by FB
While announcing the Oculus Go, Facebook also announced that in 2018, it would be introducing a redesign for Oculus avatars, letting people customize their Avatars’ skin, hair, & more. It said it would be opening the avatar system to let developers contribute custom, unlockable clothing & accessories that match the theme of their apps. Later next year, FB plans for avatars to include lip-synced mouth movement (driven by lip sync technology, available to developers for free) & responsive eye gaze, for an added layer of expression.
