Making yourself invisible on Facebook is nearly impossible. There are many instances where your presence on Facebook will be detected. This includes the typing indicator, last active & the seen feature just to mention but a few. You can, however, make use of a new extension which will block all these features hence making you invisible on Facebook. This is the FB Unseen extension, designed to block or hide your presence on Facebook.
The FB Unseen extension makes use of the already existing Facebook features by either blocking or disabling them.
Let’s look at some of its features:
i. Blocking Delivery Receipts
Whenever someone sends you a message on Facebook Messenger, they will get a delivery receipt. This is to indicate that you have logged onto your Facebook account & the message has been delivered to you. It works almost in a similar way as a text message. If a text recipient has switched off their device, you will not get a delivery note until they power on their device. Well, the FB Unseen blocks the delivery receipts so that even though you are Online & have received the message, the sender will not be notified of the message having been delivered.
ii. FB Unseen Showing Mark as Read
The mark as read feature on Facebook Messenger is meant to help you choose whether or not to read a message. Once you mark as read, the message will no longer show as unread irrespective of whether or not you actually read it. The FB Unseen makes it easier for you by marking all messages as read. This, therefore, means that someone will think you have read their message when you haven’t.
iii. Blocking Seen Feature
This extension also works by blocking the Seen feature on your Facebook Messenger. By doing this, your Facebook friends will be unable to tell if you saw their messages. In addition, to blocking the Seen feature, FB Unseen disables the Last Active feature. With this feature gone, no one on Facebook will be able to track your availability online on Facebook.
The FB Unseen is a very easy extension to use. It is compatible with Opera, Firefox, & Chrome. The 2.2.6 version of FB Unseen was updated on March 18, 2017. Horizonsoft, the company that has developed this extension is headquartered in Panama.
