Now it emerges that Apple’s intelligent digital assistant Siri is slated to take on a more pro-active role in iOS 9. According to a report in 9to5Mac,  the new tool called Proactive, which includes Siri, will take that digital assistant to a new level. Siri has been around since 2011, from the time of the launch of the iPhone 4S.

Proactive, it is said, will go much further to integrate with a user data. To begin with, Proactive will become a new layer within the iOS operating system, replacing the pulldown Spotlight menu currently found on the iOS Home screen.
