Over 3000 people from 80 countries to attend Startup Grind’s annual flagship conference

Silicon Valley-based Startup Grind’s annual global conference scheduled for Feb next year is likely to see a participation of over 3000 attendees from 80 countries this time.

Startup Grind, a global community of entrepreneurs, is powered by Google for Entrepreneurs. It’s considered to be 1 of the biggest independent startup communities of this type, with more than 215,000 entrepreneurs from more than 185 cities & 80 countries.

The flagship event, Startup Grind Global Conference, will see participation of top investors, developers, journalists & entrepreneurs for over 2 days of workshops, talks, intimate meetings & parties.

Responding to this Website’s queries over email about the conference, Startup Grind’s Founder & CEO Derek Andersen said that the event had come to be an important one 1 founders & new entrepreneurs.

“Since our first event in 2011 with 20 people crammed into a conference room, we’ve done our best to bring the best & brightest entrepreneurial minds to our stage,” he wrote.

The company’s 1st event was held in Mountain View, California in Andersen’s office in 2011. Later that year, Startup Grind spread to Los Angeles & New York City.

Stating further about the conference, Andersen said: This year, Startup Grind’s flagship Silicon Valley conference will educate & connect 3,000 attendees from 80 countries. Our attendees & speakers say it has become one of the most important events in the world for founders. We couldn’t be more excited for this year & the wins that founders will come away with.”

Apart from the annual global conference, Startup Grind also hosts events monthly in each city. These follow a fireside chat format where host asks questions to the speaker, who draws on his/her personal circumstances, experiences & lessons learned on the way to their success for the benefit of the audience.

Since its 1st global conference in 2013, Startup Grind has played a key role in providing aid to millions of new entrepreneurs to find funding, employees, partners, & mentorship. It has hosted 2,000 fireside chats since it was founded in 2010.

During the past conferences, 2 companies were offered a total of $1.2 million in venture capital, contingent on them passing due diligence.

The upcoming global conference will be held at the historic Fox Theater in Redwood City, California on February 23-24, 2016. While there will be 3,000 attendees, 40 startups will be selected to exhibit at the event, as a part of their Startup Program.

Past events have featured speakers like Vinod Khosla of Sun Microsystems, Ben Silbermann of Pinterest & Reid Hoffman of LinkedIn. The speakers line-up for the upcoming conference include Steven Chen of YouTube, Ryan Smith of Qualtric & Dan Harrison of Google, along with many others.
