We set sail
Sept 13: 6
months is really minuscule in a lifetime's journey. Unless it's a case
of premature demise. This website was launched 6 months ago to the date.
Agreed it's too short a period to uncork the bubbly, but the momentary
pause is neccessary to take stock, look ahead, and of course, pat
ourselves on the back just a little. As a website, we are growing every
day, internally and externally, thanks to our fans and the millions of
Netizens out there. Of course we wanna grow more. With an eye on that, we
bring to you today, a list. Nah, it is not a list of the Best or Most Popular Websites. We went through the Startups we reported on in the last 6 months (Click on The List/The List.ed on the left hand side task bar to check out 'em all) and decided to bring to you 6 Most Useful Startups
of 'em all.Our motto, as all of you may be aware by now, is to report
on all those Startups that promise to make your Internet experience,
Easy, Economical, Efficient and Educative. That's one reason why we do
not "blindly" report on each and every Startup launched (Real World +
Cyberworld) but carefully handselect from those launched only in the Cyberworld that aim at bettering your Online life, one way or the other. For the list, we chose Useful over Best because:
(a) Best is a very subjective word
(b) We considered only those Startups that add some kinda value to the end-user - the web surfer
Using the occasion as an excuse, we are also launching our The Most Useful Startup
of the month gig. Henceforth, at the end of every month, our webspiders
shall pause and take stock of all the Startups they have unearthed.
From these, we shall select 1 for its uniqueness, and the manner in
which it seeks to enrich your Net exprience. The selected URL shall thus
proudly wear the honor of The Most Useful and be displayed on our Home Page. The name shall be put out in the first week of every month.
For now, click here to catch up on the 6 Most Useful Startups (according to www.whatsnewonthenet.com)
