Mobile games for the entire family

By: Ask Bob, Feb 24, 2012

Making wholesome entertainment for the entire family can be quite a task. For it means getting the tastes of every member, parents & children alike, right.  There's a Startup company called Pixowl that is a mobile Games studio, for it designs & develops games which the entire family can enjoy.

Heard of Doodle Grub? It's a game by PixOwl, downloaded over 3 million times already. The US-based Pixowl has positioned itself as a mobile Gaming company with comic art.

The USP of Pixowl Games is to develop mobile games for the entire family, across Android phones, iPhones & iPads.

Doodle Grub (www.doodlegrub.com), for example, is a snake game for the whole family. You play it by tilting your device to navigate your grub, eating apples as you go. Earn points & grow in length, but be careful – colliding with any of the nasty enemies moving around you will result in a loss of segments, and once they get your head, the game is over. You can download it for Free on any phone or play it on Social Network Facebook.

Another game by Pixowl is called Safari Party which is a puzzle games where you become a globe-trotting photographer, visiting settings like a safari, th eocean, the North Pole, among others.

Pixowl is on way to launching its 2nd game called The SandBox which is a mission based game.

The guys behind Pixowl are Arthur Madrid, CEO & co-founder, who is also founder of Wixi.com (Media Cloud Storage)  & of 1-click.com (P2P Software sold in 2007) & Sebastien Borget, COO & co-founder & also of  Wixi.com.

Social Gaming based on 'Real Life'

By: Ask Bob, Feb 13, 2012

The very basis of this Internet Startup is 'Real Life'. Called Onefeat, this is positioned as a "fun Site" where registered users play games, based on what they do in real life. Officially, a Social Gaming Site, this Startup leverages on Gaming, photo sharing & Social Media to get where its going.

Social Gaming ain't new but Gaming based on 'Real Life' episodes adds a new dimension to this aspect of Online Gaming.

Onefeat  is an Internet Startup from Paris, started by 3 kids who, in their own words, "love to have fun". So, one fine day they got together & decided to create a Game based on what people do in their real lives. And the way to play the Game is to complete "missions" based on real life, & upload photographs of the same, as proof.

So, for example, if you were to visit your Grandma, it would earn you some points on Onefeat.  The more you play, the more levels you climb, & the more successful you are. The more pics you upload of your feats, the more points & rewards you unlock, it's that simple.

Free to play, Onefeat needs initial registration or you can use your Social Network accounts to log in.
