 400 neighborhoods launched...thousands to go

Nov 10, 2011:

On October 26th we announced the nationwide availability of Nextdoor.
While we had high hopes, we have been blown away by the incredible response from neighbors across the country. Clearly a lot of people are excited to bring back a sense of community to their neighborhoods… and we are thrilled to be a part of it.
We have now launched over 400 neighborhoods in 40 different states.
And things are just getting started. Thousands of neighbors far and wide have begun the process of launching new Nextdoor websites for their neighborhoods.
On behalf of the entire Nextdoor Team… thank you! We look forward to continuing to work with neighbors everywhere to build happier, safer places to call home.
When neighbors start talking, good things happen.

Senior Communications Manager

TinyLetter has been acquired by MailChimp

Sept 3, 2011:

Hi,

We're excited to announce that TinyLetter has been acquired by MailChimp, an awesome (and very popular) email marketing company based in Atlanta.

Personally, MailChimp is a company I've admired for years.  They have a reputation for being super smart, with great design and awesome technology.  More importantly, the team.  We like them a lot.
Together with MailChimp, TinyLetter will continue to flourish.  You might have already noticed our new logo and slick design -- thank you MailChimp designers!  It will just get better.
Also, TinyLetter will soon take advantage of MailChimp's behind-the-scenes technology, which will improve reliability and email deliverability (i.e. getting through spam filters and such, assuming you're not a spammer).

MailChimp's CEO, Ben Chestnut, wrote a great blog post about TinyLetter's future here.  Check it out:
http://blog.mailchimp.com/ mailchimp-acquires-tinyletter/

Thanks for using TinyLetter,
Philip Kaplan
Founder

Search Engine Ness' iPhone App

August 26, 2011:

Hello!

Thanks for being an early supporter of Ness, the first personal search engine based on your unique tastes.  We're excited to announce that our first release, restaurant search, has been chosen by Apple to be featured on the App Store.

TechCrunch says, "Score one for Ness.  Could make for one killer, subjective mobile search engine."  The Wall Street Journal's AllThingsD calls Ness "sexy, smart, ingenious."  And GigaOM says there's "serious tech muscle" behind our "slick user interface".  See for yourself by downloading it for your iPhone.

Sincerely yours,

The Ness Team
