You may use mightytext to send & receive SMS from your PC or laptop or even tablet. It is synched real time with your Android phone so there is no danger of missing out on any SMS on your phone. Plus, it's developers promise, you can get notifications on your computer & you can also check who's calling you on your phone.
The way mightytext works is this:
You need to go to Google Play & 1st install the Android App
You then need to set up the Browser-based software on your PC
The developers promise you can get going in under 60 seconds. Except for Opera, it is compatible across all major Browsers.
Here are a few of mightytext's features:
- Using your current cellphone number on your Android phone, you can send & receive SMS on your PC
- When you have an incoming SMS or MMS, you will be notified on your computer, too
- Automatic SMS, MMS and contacts backup
The guys who designed this software claim it is different from the others like WhatsApp or Nimbuzz because mightytext uses the actual SMS on your phone unlike the former which use their own systems. So you also do not need to ask friends to download similar software & stuff like that.
Mightytext is a Free cloud-based software currently in Beta. It was developed by former Google managers - Maneesh Arora & Amit Sangani.Though free to use, you will still have to continue to pay the applicable charges to your mobile service operator.
