A new way of WP Blogging
By: Sorab Ghaswalla, Sept 5, 2012
The team that developed WordPress, among other stuff, have last week launched a plugin called Liveblog to go along with the WP platform. The VIP Liveblog plugin has a sole purpose - to make Blogging during a 'Live' event, easier.
Here's how version 1.1 works:
* Post updates right from the front-end of your site (no need to use the /wp-admin dashboard)
* Viewers of your Liveblog get new entries served to them instantly and automatically, without needing to refresh their Browser
* Your authors can drag-and-drop photos right into the Liveblog area, without needing to navigate to separate Browser tabs or Windows
* There’s no need for a separate site dedicated to liveblogging: every post can be a liveblog, even existing ones
Here's how to install:
> Upload the Liveblog folder to your plugins directory
> Activate the plugin through the 'Plugins' menu in WP
> Check the "This post is a liveblog" checkbox on a post edit page to make it a Liveblog
Liveblog is compatible with WP version 3.4.1 & above.
