All of us are aware of radiation emitted by mobile phones. There's now an App that claims to minimize your exposure to cellular radiation by indicating the exact amount of radiation being sent from your phone, in 'Real Time'.

Called Tawkon, this Israel-based Startup monitors & analyzes your mobile phone radiation so you can “talk on” as usual, even as you receive prompts to avoid radiation just when you need to.

According to the developers, Tawkon achieves this with what they call Real-time Radiation Indication (RRI) technology, which is a patent-pending. RRI collects & analyzes your phone's dynamic SAR (Specific Absorption Rate) levels, network coverage, location, environmental conditions & phone usage at any given moment. The App also leverages unique smart phones capabilities such as GPS, accelerometer, proximity sensors, among other factors, to help minimize radiation exposure during mobile phone usage.

Users may not be aware that radiation levels emitted from mobile phones can fluctuate dramatically during a call & are dependent on many dynamic factors. Tawkon claims to be the only Application that immediately recognizes when radiation exposure has increased & alerts a user when radiation levels cross a pre-defined threshold. The App then goes on to provide simple, non-intrusive suggestions to reduce exposure to radiation. Suggestions are based on your real time environment & usage factors.

Tawkon helps you decide how to make your next call according to predicted absorption levels if a call would be made under current conditions, among other things.

Call Mode:

Real-time alerts with smart action prompts help you reduce mobile phone radiation exposure just when you actually need it & 'Live' feedback shows how effective recommended actions were in reducing radiation exposure.

Intelligent suggestions & feedback:

Tawkon provides real-time intelligent suggestions (during a call) to avoid mobile phone radiation.

Tawkon is Free & available for download on Android phones, on "jail broken" iPhones through Cydia & some models of Blackberry.
